The San Miguel–Alang-Alang District successfully conducted a simultaneous evangelism seminar May 10–15, drawing large crowds and resulting in 58 individuals accepting Christ through baptism.

Pastor Emmanuel Paul Barcenas, Sabbath School/Personal Ministries director and Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries coordinator for the East Visayan Conference, and Atty. Norman Sabdao, San Miguel Municipal mayor, facilitated the events through the ASI-ADPRO Evangelism initiative.

Sabdao also currently serves as the ASI president for the Central Philippine Union Conference.

The simultaneous evangelistic meetings were held at four different sites in Tanauan, Leyte, including the villages of Guinciaman, Cayare and Malaguinabot.

Speakers during the weeklong seminar included Sabdao, Barcenas, Pastor Roland Rodriguez, district pastor of San Miguel District, and Nikko Sapasip.

Nightly meetings were well attended, with strong support from local government unit workers in San Miguel Municipality who actively assisted with outreach activities.

Prior to the gospel presentations each evening, medical doctors conducted health lectures, providing attendees with health knowledge and practical information.

Participants expressed gratitude for both the spiritual messages and educational lectures delivered throughout the seminar.

The evangelistic efforts culminated in a baptismal ceremony during the ASI-ADPRO Summit held Saturday afternoon at HFL Farm and Resort.

The baptism, officiated by Pastors Jomar Compuesto, Roland Rodriguez and Dione Cientos, was witnessed by hundreds of church members and leaders who welcomed the new believers into the Adventist family.

ASI-ADPRO leaders expressed gratitude to the leadership of the East Visayan Conference for their collaboration and support in the preparation and conduct of the evangelistic series.

In addition, appreciation was extended to the district pastors for their promotion of the event, which contributed to the large turnout. The dedication and active support of church members were likewise recognized as vital to the success of the campaign.
