LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines — Pastor Eliezer “Joer” Barlizo, Jr., first president of the East Central Philippine Union Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, is serving as the featured speaker for an evangelistic campaign tailored for both working-class and elite professionals at the Bellavista Hotel in Lapulapu City.

The nightly event, themed “Moral Recovery Program through Happy Family and Hope Seminar,” opened June 28 and runs through July 3.

The seminar is part of a massive, union-wide simultaneous evangelism month organized by Adventist-Laymen’s Services and Industries, Public Affairs and Religious Liberty, and AdPro (ASI-PARL-AdPro). More than 300 sites are currently conducting simultaneous campaigns across East Central Philippines.

The Lapu-Lapu City site is one of 47 evangelistic centers launched by the Central Visayan Conference for simultaneous crusades across Cebu, Bohol, and Leyte.

Meetings begin nightly at 7 p.m. and run until 8:30 p.m.. The lecture series features specialized nightly topics focusing on family enrichment and personal transformation, including “The Best Marriage Manual,” “24 Hours in Every 168,” and “Bury Your Past”.

For those unable to attend the physical sessions at the Bellavista Hotel, the nightly lectures are being broadcast live online through the Hope Channel Central Philippines Facebook and YouTube pages.

Emphasizing the critical role of healthy family relationships, Barlizo cited Matthew 24:6 and 10, which warn of wars, rumors of wars, betrayal, and mutual hatred. He explained that because the family remains the primary target of spiritual warfare, households often face division, misery, and frustration. “However,” he countered, “when Jesus anchors the home, families can experience a foretaste of heaven on earth.”
