CEBU, Philippines — The East Central Philippine Union Conference (ECPUC) witnessed an overwhelming outpouring of digital and local participation as it officially launched “Jesus Saves – Series 3” on October 25.
The live broadcast reached across the country, drawing more than 10,000 engagements on the official Facebook and YouTube channels. Throughout the evening, the live chat flooded with viewers sharing prayer requests, announcing their viewing locations, and expressing how deeply the night’s spiritual lessons impacted them.
Pastor Eliezer ‘Joer’ Barlizo Jr., president of the ECPUC, was the featured speaker on opening night. He spoke about hope, unity and the message of the series.
Organizers reported 459 viewing sites joined the opening night, with local communities and small groups participating across the region.
This extensive network of localized viewing sites initially included 82 from the Central Visayan Conference (CVC), 53 from the Negros Occidental Conference (NSM), 136 from the Samar Mission (SM), and 136 from the East Visayan Conference (EVC). Additionally, an uncounted number of sites joined from the West Philippine Union Conference and the Southwestern Philippine Union Conference, further expanding the broadcast’s reach.
“This broad participation only speaks of the union’s unity and effective leadership,” a church member commented.
The strong online engagement and flood of positive comments highlight the effectiveness of digital media in modern evangelism, bridging physical distance and spiritual connection.
Following a highly successful opening night, “Jesus Saves – Series 3” will continue to broadcast live every evening from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM until October 31. Viewers are highly encouraged to continue sharing the broadcasts, hosting digital watch parties, and inviting friends to experience the remaining nights of the series.
