TALIBON, Bohol — Women in Northern Bohol District conducted a weeklong series of community and family-strengthening crusades from Aug. 16 to 22 at the Bagacay Covered Court in Talibon, Bohol.
Organized by the Women’s Ministries Department of the Northern Bohol District, the event delivered nightly topics centered on the theme, “Strengthening Family: Stronger Together, Happy Forever.” The topics focused on building relationships through faith, love, forgiveness, and unity.
Running concurrently with the main program was a nightly children’s ministry that culminated in the graduation of 78 children.
To connect communities through local health and welfare needs, the district association hosted a feeding program and a medical mission in partnership with GILEAD Cares. The medical mission served more than 300 residents, providing free medicines, dental extractions, dental cleanings, and traditional hilot services.
The week concluded with an “End It Now” campaign celebration during the Sabbath, advocating for safe, violence-free homes and communities.
Richel Quisto, Ph.D., the keynote speaker, said, “The greatest family vacation is not a trip to a beautiful place, but the journey toward heaven—where one day, we can be together forever with God and the people we love.”
Women leaders said that the week’s activities, which focused on strengthening families, supporting community health, and encouraging children’s spiritual growth, showed the impact of community members working together in service.
Reflecting on the event’s turnout, one attendee noted that the initiative proved ministry extends far beyond church walls.
“Just as Ephesians 6:7 says, ‘You should do your daily work and tasks with a cheerful attitude, as if you are working directly for God instead of just trying to please a human boss,’ the attendee said.
