BOHOL, Philippines — Seventeen organized churches and five home divisions across the Northeast Bohol District officially launched the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist initiative OneVoice 27 under the theme “All Things New—Hope Starts Here.”
The September 5, 2026, launch marked the beginning of a unified district-wide evangelistic drive focused on digital outreach, personal testimony, and community engagement.
“On top of it, there is a beautiful story behind the success,” one church officer said.
District Pastor Rolando Alcanzare explained that the program was brought directly to individual congregations to foster active participation.
“Ang launching sa One Voice 27 gihimo nato sa matag simbahan aron ang congregation mismo makasinati ug mahimong kabahin… Kini panaw sa panaghiusa—one voice, one mission, one purpose—to reach people to Jesus,” Pastor Alcanzare said. (The launching of One Voice 27 was held in every church so the congregation itself could experience and be a part of it… This is a journey of unity—one voice, one mission, one purpose—to reach people for Jesus.)
Mobilizing Digital and Local Resources
Behind the public events—which featured coordinated programs, commitment boxes, and specialized apparel—members contributed personal resources to expand the Gospel’s reach. They offered tools such as Bibles, cellphones, laptops, and tablets to support digital evangelism efforts.
“There were tarpaulins to prepare, shirts to arrange, commitment boxes to organize, and programs to coordinate. Yet beyond these visible preparations was something more important: hearts being prepared for service,” a church leader said.
At Tipolo Church, member Maveth Noval Baraca emphasized that geographic location does not limit active ministry, noting her commitment to sharing Bible verses and inspiring testimonials through Facebook and other social media platforms.
“Sa akong kaugalingon, bisan anaa ako sa akong balay, isog ko ug dili mauwaw mo-share pinaagi sa pag-post sa Facebook ug lain nga platforms sa social media sa Pulong sa Ginoo sama sa Bible verses ug inspiring testimonials.” (For my part, even though I am at my house, I am brave and not ashamed to share the Word of God—such as Bible verses and inspiring testimonials—by posting them on Facebook and other social media platforms.)
Meanwhile, the Bohol Energetic Youth of Northeast District (BEYOND) contributed technical skills and video editing expertise for social media distribution.
For Melvin Laranio Baet, a youth officer participating in the digital rollout on his birthday, the event held personal significance, and he described the initiative as an opportunity to use digital platforms to touch lives and guide individuals closer to the faith.
“Isip usa ka batan-on, nindot kaayo nga magpa-gamit ta ug mahimong instrumento aron daghang tawo ang atong ma-share-an sa gospel sa Ginoo pinaagi sa social media ug digital platforms,” Baet said. (As a young person, it is wonderful to let ourselves be used and become an instrument so that we can share the Gospel of the Lord with many people through social media and digital platforms.)
Moving Forward
At Fatima Church, Emerito Gulfan, a church elder, urged members to view the initiative not merely as routine church programming, but as a direct call to personal service.
“For the Lord, brothers and sisters, this is our time, this is our mission, and this is our generation,” Gulfan said. (Alang sa paggamit sa atong Ginoo, mga igsoon, mao kini ang atong panahon, mao kini ang atong mission, ug mao kini ang atong generasyon.)
A district officer shared their story, the tedious preparation, and the willing hands behind the event that made it successful.
“When the launch is over, the banners could be taken down, and the programs could end—but the mission had only begun. The real story of OneVoice27 is found behind the scenes: in the hands that prepared, the leaders who encouraged, the members who surrendered their resources, and the young people who offered their talents,’ she said. “Above all, it is a story of God leading His people.”
Following the district-wide rollout, local church leaders announced that congregations will transition into localized evangelistic campaigns centered on the initiative’s core message of renewed hope and community outreach across Northeast Bohol.
