MANGA, Bohol — Digital missionaries from across Bohol attended the Bohol-Wide Digital Missionary Strategic Formation Training at Manga Seventh-day Adventist Church on July 18, 2026. The event featured hands-on workshops and presentations focused on digital media ministry.
The training brought together media volunteers and communication ministry leaders from across the province. Organized by the Communication Department of the Seventh-day Adventists in Central Visayas, the event supports the World Church’s OneVoice27 – All Things New initiative, which aims to equip members to use technology for evangelism.
The training included presentations on digital ministry skills. Adelyn C. Quinte, Central Visayan Conference (CVC) communication department staff, led sessions on becoming a digital missionary in the local church and on creating short-form video content.
Maricel M. Bojos, CVC Writers’ Guild president, facilitated a news writing workshop focused on accuracy and mission-centered reporting.
On the other hand, Jun N. Camay, president of Hope Media in Central Visayas, led a session on live streaming for online worship services and evangelistic meetings in the afternoon.
Pastor Edgar V. Bojos, CVC communication director, said the training supports the church’s media ministry efforts. “One of the church’s major priorities today is media ministry. Through this training, we are strengthening digital missionaries and social media evangelists across Bohol. Our prayer is to build Gideon’s 300—a network of 300 committed digital missionaries who will use social media to faithfully proclaim the gospel throughout the province,” Pastor Bojos emphasized.
The Bohol Adventist Digital Media Association (ADMA) elected a new set of provincial officers during the event. Ariel Licayan Mapalo was named president of ADMA-Bohol, along with other officers tasked with supporting digital evangelism and the church’s communication ministry in the province.
ADMA-Bohol announced its first priority project: establishing a pilot media center at Tagbilaran City SDA Church. The center will support the global launch of OneVoice27 and serve as a hub for media production and digital evangelism. Churches, members, and ministry partners are encouraged to support the project through donations of cash or media equipment.
Expressing gratitude for hosting the province-wide training, Pastor Danilo Pagatpat, district leader of the Southwestern Bohol District, welcomed the delegates and shared the importance of the gathering.
“We thank God for allowing our district to host this training. We are grateful to all the delegates who came from different districts, and we pray that the knowledge and skills gained through this training will strengthen digital ministry and advance God’s mission throughout Bohol,” Pastor Pagatpat said.
Juan Tero, church elder of Manga Church, representing the host congregation, expressed appreciation for the event. He said, “This gathering strengthens our church family and inspires us to become more active in digital ministry as we work together in sharing the gospel through social media and other digital platforms.”
After the training, participants returned to their districts with new skills and plans to support digital ministry in their local churches.
