TALISAY CITY, Cebu — The Central Visayan Conference (CVC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for its proposed three-story parsonage at the Adventist Academy Cebu (AAC) Compound on August 21, 2026.
Pastor Lelord G. Arranguez, CVC executive secretary, presided over the event and opened it with welcome remarks.
Pastor Bernardino C. Maniego, CVC president, presented the project’s brief history, telling attendees that the initiative stems from prayerful planning to better accommodate administrative workers while serving the Lord and the church.
Meanwhile, Pastor Renito Inapan, treasurer of the East Central Philippine Union Conference (ECPUC), delivered an inspirational message. He emphasized that true service requires a strong spiritual foundation and unity among church leadership.
Pastor Anel C. Mahinay, CVC publishing director, led the litany of consecration, specifically offering the proposed structure and the land it will be built upon to God, acknowledging Him as the ultimate builder and provider of the work.
Led by Pastor Maniego and assisted by Pastor Inapan, CVC directors, and AAC workers, guests and personnel from the AAC, ECPUC, and CVC witnessed the groundbreaking and ribbon-cutting ceremonies.
Engr. Serafin Uy, the building contractor, clarified that the structure is designed as a modern facility featuring six three-bedroom residential units, with construction expected to be completed within the next twelve months to meet the CVC’s growing operational needs.
Michelle Nogra, CVC women and children’s ministries director, shared her view on the project, saying the building will stand as proof of God’s faithfulness and as a welcoming haven for families in ministry.
