A total of 160 delegates gathered for the Adventist-laymen Services and Industries (ASI) Bohol General Assembly, held May 2, 2026, at Villa Alzhun Tourist Inn and Restaurant in Tagbilaran City, Bohol. The event, in collaboration with Adventist Professionals (Ad Pro), brought together members and partners in mission for fellowship, reporting and strengthening shared commitments in service.
The assembly featured updates on ongoing mission initiatives, reports from various ministries and testimonies highlighting God’s guidance in their fields of service. Delegates participated in group discussions by district, facilitated by district pastors, to assess programs, strengthen coordination and plan outreach efforts. Through shared experiences and collective planning, the gathering emphasized unity among members and the importance of working together to advance God’s mission.
Dr. Sharleen C. Lim, adviser of ASI-Ad Pro in Bohol province, said the organization’s core goal is to bring Christ into the workplace and marketplace, underscoring its mission to integrate faith into daily professional and business life. She encouraged members to see their spheres of influence as mission fields where Christ can be represented through integrity, service and excellence.
Dr. Evangeline Geraldez, CVC ASI president and an elder of the Capitol Center Seventh-day Adventist Church, emphasized the role of business in God’s work. She said that when surrendered to the Lord, business becomes a powerful channel for service, and encouraged members to use their professions and resources to advance the gospel and bless others.
Pastor Lelord G. Arranguez, CVC executive secretary, inspired delegates with his message, quoting Ellen G. White as he emphasized that it is better to keep working than to remain idle. He encouraged everyone to remain active in ministry, trusting the Lord to bring the increase. He illustrated this by sharing that the estimated number of delegates, initially 80, was blessed and doubled to 160. He also highlighted the goal of nurturing newly baptized members, encouraging them to participate in ministry so they may grow stronger in faith and service.
During the Hour of Worship, Pastor Bernie Maniego, CVC president, called on everyone to commit to and be actively involved in the Lord’s work. Quoting from the Spirit of Prophecy, he reminded the congregation that “the coming of Christ is nearer than we first believed,” urging all to live with a sense of urgency and purpose. He emphasized the key text in Titus 2:13, encouraging delegates to look forward to the blessed hope and remain faithful in service as they await the Lord’s return.
Before the election of officers, Pastor Edgar V. Bojos, CVC ASI coordinator, led a devotional message titled “When Wealth Serves the Mission of Jesus.” He emphasized the biblical principle that resources and prosperity are entrusted by God not for self-interest, but for the advancement of his mission.
“Let us view wealth as a means to support evangelism, service, and the expansion of God’s work through faithful stewardship,” he said.
A significant highlight of the assembly was the election of ASI officers for the term 2026-28. Lloyd Patalinghug was elected president; Nicole Crista Lamorin, as vice president for religious affairs; Angelito Unabia, as vice president for social affairs; Daniel Tampus, as vice president for finance; Pede Rasonabe, as vice president for social affairs, and Melvin Dayon, auditor.
The ASI- ADPRO also elected officers for 2026-28. Evelyn Ayuban, president; Matt Hildon Sumalinog, vice president for religious affairs; Gerson Cagape, vice president for communication; Anecita Saligumba, vice president for finance; Ge-en Tero, vice president for social affairs; and Jezreel Lozano, auditor.
Several ASI members offered substantial co-funding for the evangelism fund of Bohol province, supporting the simultaneous ASI crusade scheduled for June 28 to July 4, 2026. This reflects the strong commitment of delegates to participate in the proclamation of the gospel and advancement of God’s mission in the province.
The ASI Bohol General Assembly concluded with delegates renewing their commitment to continue serving faithfully in their ministries and professions. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to gather, reflect and strengthen their shared mission. Collaboration with Ad Pro further enriched the assembly, reinforcing the call to integrate faith and service in everyday life.
As delegates departed, they carried a deeper resolve to remain faithful witnesses and active partners in God’s work in their communities.
