CULABA, BILIRAN — Nine individuals were baptized following a week-long evangelistic campaign held at Barangay Bool East in the municipality of Culaba, Biliran, from May 17 to 22, 2026.
The event, themed “Happy Family Life and Moral Recovery Seminar,” drew an average nightly attendance of 25 to 30 people. Pastor Samuel Salloman, president of the East Visayan Conference (EVC), and Pastor Jerome Tapaya, district leader for the Almeria-Kawayan-Culaba District, served as the speakers.
The seminar focused strictly on gospel themes, covering six core biblical topics across consecutive nightly sessions: the Bible, the Love of God, the Second Coming, the Law, the Sabbath, and Baptism.
This topic introduces the Ten Commandments not as a burden, but as God’s loving guardrails that protect families from moral decay, dishonesty, and broken relationships.
Local church members and youth groups managed the groundwork and daily operations for the event. Pre-event coordination was led by lay members of the Bool Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) Care Group, while the Bool Youth ministry managed and conducted specialized classes for children throughout the week.
The nightly meetings culminated in a baptismal service officiated by Pastor Jacob Suarez and attended by church members across the Culaba district.
Pastor Tapaya credited the event’s success first to God, and secondly to the dedicated support of Pastor Salloman, the Bool SDA Care Group members, and the local volunteers who assisted from start to finish.
