74 Baptized After Week-Long Evangelistic Campaign in San Isidro

Evangelism May 5, 2026

A week-long series of collaborative evangelistic outreach programs at Vera Farm in Balicuatro District, Samar, concluded on May 2, 2026. Seventy-four individuals, including 54 adults and 21 children, were baptized after accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

From April 26 to May 2, the program included separate evangelistic seminars for adults and children each morning, followed by Vacation Bible School (VBS) in the afternoon.

Pastor Antonio Gobi, president of the Adventist Church in the Samar Mission, conducted the adult evangelistic meetings. Grace Intanto, women’s and children’s ministries director and Ministerial Spouses Association (MSA) coordinator, led the “Children’s Crusade.”

After these three daytime events, families in the Balicuatro District gathered each evening for the Family Enrichment Retreat, which focused on strengthening faith and family relationships.

These efforts were made possible through coordination among the San Isidro District, Adventist Laymen’s Services & Industries (ASI), local care groups, women’s and children’s ministries, and the faculty of Balicuatro Adventist Elementary School.

“Thanks to Engineer Virgilio Cabacang and his wife, Mrs. Arlene Cabacang, for their immense support and for opening their private property to the simultaneous ministries,” Pastor Gobi shared on his social account, expressing gratitude for their significant contributions to the program’s logistics and success.

He also thanked the church members, volunteers, and donors, noting that the high number of participants is a “living testament” to the impact of unified community efforts.

“When we work for the Lord, our efforts are never in vain,” Pastor Gobi added, thanking the local community for their unwavering support and devotion.

This event stands as one of the district’s most successful evangelistic efforts this year, highlighting the continued commitment of churches in the Balicuatro District to their mission.
