MABINAY, Negros Oriental — Over 400 church members, broadcasters, and leaders from across the Negros Oriental-Siquijor Mission (NSM) gathered on Oct. 3 for the quarterly NSM-Wide Adventist World Radio (AWR) Sabbath Fellowship in Abis, Mabinay.

The gathering highlighted AWR’s expanding footprint across the territory, which currently uses nine active community radio stations and three block-time stations to broadcast the gospel.

The gathering also gave broadcasters and church members a chance to strengthen their fellowship, share inspiring experiences, and encourage one another in the mission of reaching people through radio ministry and personal evangelism.

The program began on Saturday morning with lectures and missionary reports detailing life-changing conversion stories brought about by a blend of radio broadcasting, house-to-house visitation, and personal evangelism.

Pastor Carmie Lendio, NSM executive secretary, delivered the divine worship message and urged attendees to maximize available resources for God’s mission.

In the afternoon, AWR officers and broadcasters mapped out the final-quarter agenda for 2026. Key items included preparations for the NSM AWR Five-Site Evangelism set for November 14–19. This will serve as the highlight and culmination of the NSM-Wide AWR Convention on November 20–21, 2026.

To further broaden the network’s reach, leadership officially approved plans to install three new community radio stations in Basay, Canlaon City, and Siquijor Island.

“This strategic expansion into underserved municipalities and provinces will provide broader access to life-changing spiritual programming, allowing local congregations to effectively reach isolated communities and touch countless more lives with the Adventist message through the power of radio ministry,” a participant shared.

The day concluded with a commitment program that reinforced the AWR vision: “Every chapel is a Hope Channel, and every member is a broadcaster for the Lord.”
