Central Visayan Conference Aligns Digital Mission with OneVoice27

News March 20, 2026

How is the Central Visayan Conference aligning its digital mission with the OneVoice27 global initiative?

OneVoice 27 is a global initiative by the Seventh-day Adventist Church aimed at a massive, unified evangelism push in September 2027. The date commemorates the 2,000-year anniversary of Jesus’ baptism and the start of His ministry in AD 27.

Pastor Heshbon Buscato, youth director of the Southern Asia-Pacific Division, outlined the initiative’s objectives at CVC’s First Quarter Care Group Harvest Celebration at Adventist Academy Cebu on March 14.

He emphasized that multimedia channels are central to OneVoice 27, which aims to reach 3.4 billion people by the 2,000th anniversary of Christ’s ministry.

By integrating digital platforms like Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram with traditional outlets like Adventist World Radio and Hope Channel, the movement creates a “loud voice” that saturates both the internet and the airwaves with Christ-centered content.

This strategy focuses on a “digital-to-local” pathway, using viral videos and specialized broadcasts to identify interested seekers and funnel them toward local congregations for personal Bible study. Through unified branding and culturally contextualized messaging, these multimedia efforts transform passive scrolling into active soul-winning, ensuring that the message of hope is accessible across every language and region.

On March 7, 2026, media volunteers and leaders from across the Central Visayan Conference (CVC) attended the CVC-wide Media Center General Assembly Meeting and Seminar.

Held at CVC’s headquarters in Bulacao, Talisay City, the event aimed to strengthen collaboration among media workers and expand the church’s media ministry through various communication platforms.

Afternoon sessions featured practical workshops focused on developing participants’ media production and communication skills. These workshops equipped volunteers with the knowledge and tools needed to improve the quality and effectiveness of their media work in local churches.

Participants sharpened their technical skills through lectures on photography and video production, mastering everything from visual framing to unified brand writing.

Adventist Vloggers, recognized for their strong potential in digital evangelism, also attended the event.

Pastor Godofredo “Jonbye” Romanillos Jr., ECPUC communication director and ASI-Ad Pro coordinator, elaborated on the purpose of the consultative meeting. “Because social media is now the new town plaza, we need to present Adventism positively there.”

He emphasized the media ministry’s crucial role in strengthening the church’s presence in society. “Make the church visible, credible, and welcoming in the community,” he said, highlighting the responsibility of media workers to reflect the church’s mission through liable and purposeful content.

Furthermore, CVC’s communication department aims to be more intentional in rebranding the church this year, calling every church’s media leaders to organize the first Hope Media Network throughout CVC.

“This is historical,” Joven Arcelo, Adventist Hospital-Cebu’s customer service officer, said, referring to the plan of organizing CVC’s Hope Media Network. “The initiative would utilize the passionate, tech-savvy, and mission-oriented brethren to spread the gospel through the internet and radio in creative and innovative ways.”

Arcelo added that there was more to the media training, as every attendee understood and recognized their calling for this initiative that they had already started discussing their plans.

Moreover, CVC leaders have recognized 13 churches across its territory that already have established multimedia channels. With the Hope Media Network initiative and strengthened teamwork and continuous learning, they anticipate that more will emerge for the digital mission, making Central Visayas a major part of the OneVoice27 initiative’s success.

The key takeaway from the event was to return to their local churches not just as technicians but as storytellers of God’s grace. Every post, every frame, and every word must be seasoned with the Holy Spirit.
