SAN MIGUEL, Leyte — A series of evangelism seminars hosted by the San Miguel–Alang-Alang District of the East Visayan Conference (EVC) culminated in the baptism of 32 individuals on March 7. The ASI-ADPRO-sponsored Family Evangelism Seminar, which ran from Feb. 22 to March 6 in Brgy. San Andres, was led by Pastor Emmanuel Paul Barcenas, EVC NDR-IEL and ASI-ADPRO director.

ASI-ADPRO represents Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries and Adventist Professionals. NDR-IEL signifies Nurture, Discipleship and Reclaiming/Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle.

From Feb. 22–27, the district conducted simultaneous satellite evangelistic meetings at three venues: Sitio Cangravel, Sta. Cruz; Brgy. Caraycaray, San Miguel; and Sitio Ugpong, Brgy. Santol, San Miguel. Pastors Roland Rodriguez, Abner Palin and Crisanto Carbon led the nightly sessions, delivering messages of hope and salvation.

Following the satellite meetings, Barcenas conducted a Moral Recovery Seminar from March 1–6 with the theme “Hope for Today’s Families.” The seminar focused on strengthening families amid life’s challenges and equipping them to become positive influences within their communities.

Presentations emphasized building harmonious homes by nurturing faith, upholding biblical principles and encouraging parents to serve as role models. Families were reminded of the value of guiding the next generation in righteousness while observing God’s law.

Throughout the nightly seminars, many families expressed appreciation for the spiritual encouragement. Participants testified to renewed faith, and several individuals decided to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.

The seminar concluded with a thanksgiving and baptismal ceremony at HFL Farm and Resort in Manggahan, San Miguel. Barcenas and Rodriguez officiated the baptism of the 32 candidates.

“I thank God for the opportunity to conduct a seminar during the evangelistic crusade in Brgy. San Andres… with the support of the Adventist-Laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI) Professional Network (ADPRO) of the San Miguel Area,” Barcenas said. “It was a blessing to see members united and willing to support the mission of sharing the gospel.”

Rodriguez reflected on the effort: “The evangelistic effort was exhausting, yet deeply fulfilling, as many souls accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior through baptism. The sacrifices, sleepless nights, and tireless labor were all worth it. This success would not have been possible without your active support.”
