Central Visayan Conference Elects New Leadership During Annual Council

TALISAY, Cebu City — The Central Visayan Conference (CVC) of the Seventh-day Adventist Church has announced a new slate of leaders, following an executive committee meeting held at the conference headquarters on Feb. 3.

The election, a pivotal moment during the 2026 Annual Council, establishes the leadership team that will oversee church operations and spiritual growth throughout the Central Visayas for the new 2026-2030 quinquennium.

The newly elected officers and directors include:

  • Berdandino C. Maniego, who serves as president. In addition to his administrative duties, Maniego will oversee Integrated Evangelism Lifestyle-Nurturing, Discipleship, and Retention (IEL-NDR).
  • Lelord G. Arranguez, elected as executive secretary. In addition to his administrative responsibilities, he will now lead the Adventist Mission.
  • Michelle S. Nogra, who leads as director for women’s ministries as well as coordinator for the Ministerial Spouses Association. Added to her responsibilities is the children’s ministries department.
  • Anel C. Mahinay, publishing ministries director and Spirit of Prophecy coordinator.
  • Rogelio Z. Edoloverio, family ministries, legal services, and music director.
  • Isaias S. Guisando – education,  associate IEL-NDR, and Adventist Possibility Ministries director
  • Clyde S. Potot, health, human resource director
  • Ulysses R. Eullaran, church auditor
  • Starly B. Gutierrez, facilities supervisor
  • Seth Esmeralda, field secretary for Masbate
  • Ceriaco P. Valencia, ministerial secretary, chaplaincy, Planned Giving and Trust Services, legal services director

The East Central Philippine Union Conference (ECPUC) has issued a call for prayer and support for the incoming administration. “We invite the church to pray that these leaders guide their departments with passion and a dedication, rooted in biblical principles,” Pastor Eliezer “Joer” Barlizo Jr., ECPUC president, stated.

The role realignment comes at a strategic time as the church prepares for its “Mission Reach 2026” initiative.
